The conference agenda is on the website at http://www.vrac.iastate.edu/etc2007/. Adding an additional speaker on Thursday at 11 am was discussed.
One faculty member and 5 students have been nominated for these awards to date. Pam will send a reminder about the deadline for nominations. Voting will begin on March 26 and end on April 2. The awards will be announced on Wednesday, April 25 immediately following the HCI PhD student presentations from 4-5 pm. The nominations and voting will be reviewed at the next meeting.
Matt Heying presented a proposal from the HCI student group concerning curriculum recommendations. His powerpoint presentation is attached. Pam was asked to put the student proposal in the next HCI Newsletter and ask for comments from faculty and students. The suggestion was made to form a curriculum task force which would conduct a program review and make recommendations for the curriculum.
Next meeting is Wednesday, April 11 at 9 am in the VRAC Allbaugh Conference Room. (This is a change from the original date of April 4.)
