Given TWiki's inherent revision control system, it might seem a bit peculiar that rolling back a topic to a previous revision isn't exactly intuitive.

One might even say that it is UN-intuitive. However, it's also fairly simple. The steps are listed below:

Procedure to roll back a TWiki topic:

  • Determine WHICH revision you want to restore (use the History: links at the bottom of the topic page)
  • Go to "More Topic Actions"
  • Look for "View previous topic revision" bullet (near the bottom of the page)
  • Type the number of the revision you want to restore
  • Check the "raw text format" box This exposes the raw TWiki markup/HTML, just like Edit mode
  • Click on "View revision"
  • Copy all content to the clipboard
  • Back out to top revision
  • Edit the original topic and replace its content with the clipboard
