Research Symposium

Iowa State University will host a campus wide Research Symposium on Friday, July 31 from 1-4 pm in the Howe Hall Atrium. All summer REU programs on campus will participate. SPIRE-EIT interns will present their posters and technical demonstrations of their research at this time. The public is invited.

    • The poster must include the ISU logo, found here.
    • The poster must include the NSF logo, found here.
    • The poster include the text: "Funded by NSF Grant IIS-0851976" (those are i's not l's, by the way: IIS = Information & Intelligent Systems)
    • The poster may include (if you want), the logos for VRAC and HCI.

July 31 Schedule

9 am: Poster and Demo set up in the Howe Hall Atrium.

11:30 am: Lunch in Room 20. Pizza and pop will be served for interns and grad students.

1-4 pm: Research Symposium. Interns from six other REU programs on campus will also be participating by presenting posters.

4 pm: Clean up. Please put equipment away in the lab and in the proper condition.

5:45 pm: Meet at Fredericksen Court Community Center for ride to wrap up party at Eliot Winer's house. Catherine and Pam will drive.

6:00-8:00 pm: Pool Party at Eliot Winer's house. Please bring your bathing suit. Please do not wear anything with any kind of metal on it (e.g., rivets on jean shorts, etc.) in the pool, as this can tear the liner on the pool.
