ICubs game (by just saying this it feels like Iowa sold themselves to Apple, which would explain the love of the i(insert name here) hardware)
Morning
- Presented everyone's OpenGL projects. I must say, everyone's looked cool.
- I want to be honest. I don't care if they did an all-nighter, if they had start it from a long time ago, I would've voted for the Tornado project. Yes, it looked nice for having been done during all of last night, but again, if they had started from before it would've looked cooler. Reason why I didn't vote for them: not enough toys for the application to be a tool of destruction. It looked pretty (especially the tornado, kudos to Jasmine for that), but there really wasn't much to do with it.
Afternoon
- Did the team-meeting and decided on using Java for the application (this means I have to learn a new language from scratch). Hope Cole or Tom don't blow a gasket if I don't get it (though they assured me it was much easier than C++, then again, mostly anything's easier than C++, like Python! No, I don't get tired of mentioning Python, I like Python)

Comments here please.
that, my friend, would have been awesome!
From what I understand, Java uses a higher level of abstraction, so it does many tasks automatically that you would usually have to program for in C++. I've never used Java myself but what would be the point if it was slower AND harder to use?
I would have liked to see more tools of destruction in our program as well, but alas we weren't able to implement all the features that we wanted to initially. It would have been cool if we could have clicked an object and lightning came down and obliterated it.
