June 16, 2009

So since yesterday we had a chance to meet with Stoytchev. This is good, as we've been hammering out details of our project, but I feel that we are moving too slowly and that we will never finish it in time if we don't get a move on. We were supposed to, in our original plan that we laid out the first week, be finished with planning at the end of this week. It seems that we are a behind that, I just hope all my worries about not finishing because we took to long to plan are unfounded.

On a different note, last night Stoytchev decided that we needed to read a chapter of someone from MIT's dissertation and then use his model for visual attention and implement it in the robot. He wants us to demo that for the Science Channel on Friday instead of our original face tracking. This is going to be crazy. We were in the lab until 11 last night and will probably be there even later this evening. I just hope that this all calms down next week and I can actually get some free time (wishful thinking I know).

Hmm, is it a bad thing that I've been trying to end every sentence with a ; ? I need to step away from the code I think.
